Hi all.
Have not long been dischared from bankruptsy (Feb 2011) and so far am doing quiet well.
I have managed to keep my Lloyds tsb current account and have opened a cash plus prepaid card account. I have also got a contract mobile with Virgin Media/Mobile and have just been accepted for a £10 a month 30day rolling contract with T-Mobile.
I have just checked my experien files today and have noticed the "the money shop" (payday loan) have reported a satisfactory payment. They never used to do this so i was over the moon to see another green zero on my account.
I have also began credit file cleanup and so far barclays have amended my files however the name has changed to "TTI" so am assuming this is their collections team. I am now waiting for the other ceditors to update.
To the OP
As for the gold account, This will give you a better score with the natwest as the more products and services with said bank will improve your internal scoring which will enable you to get more product offers in future. The gold account will not have a huge impact over a normal current account though.
For example.
If you had a bank account and a savings account as well as insurance products with natwest then they would be more enclined to offer a credit card as oppose to only having a basic account with a minimal balance. This is due to the fact that all customers are scored in relation to potental profitability as well as risk factors when applying for products.
Hope this is helpfull.0
