They are provable in the bankruptcy and as such, you are released from the liability to pay them when you are discharged.
However, in common with benefit overpayments, they can be deducted form any ongoing benefits up until your discharge date. On your discharge, any unpaid remainder must be written off.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
