Hi all, desperate need advice on situation with my current employer, i am of sick at the moment due to suspension from work in December they mishandled whole thing took 9 weeks for them to make a decision let alone deal with my greivances i raised in November. They want to conduct a home visit on Tuesday as they claim to have a duty of care to me, which i find totally obsurd, if they gave a dam about me prior to this they would have helped me when they should of legally, however i am due to go to court with them for ignoring a flexible working request for me seeing my son. It appears they must have been counting my sickness during the time they stated i was suspended pending an investigation on full pay. can they do this, When they made there mickey mouse decision at there disciplinary meeting on the 7th February, the Hr rep stated my sickness would commence from that date, to date i have effective been off 1month and 3 weeks, i have this statement from them on a tape recording of the meeting, given the impending employment tribunal should they be contacting me at all or should they be dealing with my solicitor
due to ring my solicitor at 9 when they open, but feel the employer have deliberately placed me under undue pressure now there is pending action, i know it is most deffinately not for duty of care. I have more issues over the fact they have not sent me documentation relating to the greivances i raised and the disciplinary they put me through, and when i asked for it via e-mail they tell me they will not correspond any more with me in this regard, they have also denied my right of appeal. I told them to categorically write to me with there outcome on the greivances and the disciplinary, they ignored this i to date have still not received any formal response, what should i do about this as seprate to what is already going ahead. Because they claim i have been off for some time they intend to cut my salary in half, i find this incorrect and excessive and threatening. Major stress ed

Are you in a trade union? If so, you invite your union rep to the meeting on Tuesday.
Employers do have a duty of care to their employees and are most likely conducting this review as part of their procedure when an employee has been off sick for a period of time.
Suggest you make an appointment to see your GP and explain how you feel. Your GP is there to help.0 -
It would help if you gave unemotional facts like
a - this happened on this date
b - this happened on this date
However, they don't have to come to your home, you can ask for a neutral venue such as a local hotel foyer. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
