Summons for non payment of non domestic rate! Help?

Hi guys wonder if anyone can give me some advice?
Basically due to a change of circumstance I've managed to fall behind on payments for a commercial property.
Having had to move house a couple of times, having to leave my business closed for some time I've managed to forget to pay the rates!
My old land lady has just, today dropped off a load of old letters from my old house which contains a yellow letter titled as this thread is titled!
It's dated January with a request to appear at a court hearin in January! Having just got it I have obviously missed this date! What on earth can I do? Really panicking as I can make the payment for the months I have missed but this letter also seems to not take any previous payments into account! I know I could have appealed had I known about the summons but, due to my own stupidity, have forgot to cange my correspondence address and have therefore been blissfully ignorant and forgetful!
I presume this is a ccj letter type thing but can any advise me on my nest next step to get this mess sorted?
