I have an uneaten, and likely to remain uneaten bag of butterscotch candy suckers. Any one got any cake recipes or other ideas for using them up so they don't continue to get all sticky and wasted....

Would they melt down into a sauce to be eaten with ice cream, melt them down and add cream to make a sauce? It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Crush them up, add to a bottle of cheap asda vodka. Shake every few days and then decant into smaller bottles for 'toffee vodka' gifts.0

I did have a recipe which I have sadly lost but from what I remember it was a puff pastry base which you topped with sliced peaches or nectarines. You then melted some werthers and added a little lemon juice and poured this over and baked in oven. Sorry i'm not very precise but as I say I lost the recipe before ever having made it.:)lostinrates wrote: »I have an uneaten, and likely to remain uneaten bag of butterscotch candy suckers. Thank you! The vodka is a novel idea....I'm not sure many of our friends would like it, but it sounds fun to try anyway.
Peach/nectarine tart sounds delish. I might have a bt of experimentation over that.
I had initially thought cookies, but they are starting to go sticky and won't shatter easily into chips and are far too big for chips left as is.0 -
I once tried making fudge and accidentally made toffee (which I don't really enjoy eating) so... I whizzed it up into crumbs in the food processor and blended it with cream for a banoffe pie (biscuit base, topped with banana slices and the toffee cream). Twas yummy!0
