Advice needed re getting rid of 21% CC with 5.5k on it!

Hi everyone, Im after a little advice as my situation keeps changing. Currently I have debts of 12k loan @5.9% over 4.5 years and a CC with 5.5k on it @ around 21%. Our original plan was to wait until we buy our new home and then apply to a loan company to increase its value and incorporate our CC debts. Problem is our purchaser has just fallen through for the 2nd time ansd with xmas approaching cant see many buyers over the next month. Question is these debts are in my husbands name and I have a default on my credit history he has a credit score of 860. Our income is 18.5k and 8.7k with ctc and cb on top. Do you think we stand a good chance of getting this increase?

At the moment we are paying £80 interest and £30 off the payment so it'd take yeas to get rid of, we can also only meet the minimum payments at the moment as we need every penny for surveys and searches when the time comes.

Any help would be appreciated!

Try and move the cc debt to a 0% card

Its hard to find a CC company to take on 5.5k though, has anyone had any examples of companies that will do this?

Every case is different. MBNA/Virgin seem to offer higher limits than most and they offer 0% for 12 months. Other oprions are Capital One and HSBC. 0% for 13 months. Even if the limit is say, only £3k....least thats £3k at 0%. It puts you in a better situation
