They didn't on OH, because they'd already done it for the probate matters.
They did for me - although the partner there is my godfather, who has known me my entire life, and my parents for a decade longer than that. But I still had to prove I'm not a drug-dealer laundering money (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Not my issue if they didn't. There's an old Inland Revenue saying "Ignorance is no Excuse".0 -
