Yay!! Well now you're on a high, turn it in to a roll! Phone up everyone else from mobile phones to sky and negotiate reduced rates for everything! Just follow Martins advice and threaten to leave them and see what happens :D

    Woo yay!

Congratulations - it always good to reduce the bank's profits just that little bit - it's good for the soul.

Have all you PPI people looked at this?

Became debt free in 2007 after having £15k of debt. Have been a stranger to MSE and now want to get back into my old MSE habits and save, save, save
  • natwest didnt ask me why i wanted to cancel, they just did it for me.

There is a letter template on the loans parts of this board that you can send to people, thats what got me started with natwest i was about to send the letter but needed the address.

My big question now is if i can cancel PPI on my car as this would save me a huge amount every month!!!

  • This is probably a really stupid question, but in 1999 I took a loan out with hsbc for five thousand pounds for five years and they made me take out the ppi otherwise they wouldnt give me the loan, at the time I was naive and did just as they requested. I paid it off in 2004, is it too late too claim my ppi back it was probably about 2500.? Sorry if this a dumb question.
