Advice on debts needed please

Hi,
Myself and my husband have some old debts from a few years ago. We had a payment plan arranged by the CAB and were paying them off very slowly. However my husband got sick and we moved house a bit and haven paid anything towards any of the debts for about 3.5 years. Now we have settled in a house and my husband is getting better (though still on income based ESA) a couple of the debts have caught up with us and we know we need to deal with them.
So far we have had letters from iqor this week sending a final notice postcard. This is a TSB loan for nearly 5000pounds this is in my maiden name (have not used this name in about 6 years)
My husband has received a letter from Lowell for a debt with HBOS for about 4500pounds. He has also received a letter for a debt of about 600pounds that we dont recognise and another one for a debt of 80pounds with a settlement figure of 40pounds which we could make in the next month but could not make it by the date they gave us of last week.
We do have a couple of other old debts, but I have no record of them so cannot remember what and how much they are for.
Because my husband is on income based ESA we can only afford a few pounds a month. What should we do next? I am due to give birth in about 3 weeks and am worried about someone turning up on the doorstep.
TIA for any help

Hi,
Well done for posting.
The first thing you need to do is to work out a full SOA detailing all og your income and expenditue and include all of your debts (that you know of), what the minimum monthly payments should be (if known), and what the APR's are (if known)The link is here (just copy and paste here when complete): http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
And the second thing is to send a letter to any of the debts that you do not recognise and ask them to prove that you owe them
There are template letters on the National Debtline webpage here: http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/debt_advice.php#6
Also, it is probably a good idea for you to check your credit reports at all three credit reference agencies as you will be able to see your debts on there, and where they are now (if you have not been in touch/made payment for a while they have probably been sold on at least once if not more)

Thanks for your reply, as far as I know all the interest was frozen back 4/5 years ago when CAB got involved in it, is that likely to have changed? will they now be charging interest again?Make £10 a day Dec 2016 £130.52/£310
