Tesco Chocolate - spend £2.67 & get £3.67 off !!!

Need someone to verify this but . .

bought 4 bottles of beer for £5
2 bags of risotto rice for 82p each
and 3 bars of Finest Swiss Milk Chocolate (barcode ending 167650) on special offer at 89p each (instead of £1.11)

Other than the beer a Multibuy saving came up on receipt -
Schwartz range 3 for £2 giving a refund of £3.67

I didn't buy any herbs or Schwartz products and the only product I bought in a group of three was the chocolate.

Tempted to go back and try again - beer an chocolate but already feeling a little bit sick from the first bar and will wait until tomorrow !!

Interested to see if any other beer and chocolate fans can bag the same mistake (?).

I guess they will twig if you just take three bars of choc to the checkout and bag a net refund ? Or have I got something wrong ?

So maybe it was the butter that triggered the Schwartz but my money is on the Choc.

I guess you can go straight to Cust.Servc. and return any stuff you didn't really want !!

Thinking about this some more, Queenriderbrekke I think you might be right - the Schwartz is suggesting a total for three items of £5.67, divide this by three and you get £1.89 which is the price of the single beers !! So maybe you get double discount on just the beer !! I'm in there first thing in the morning for two Fursty and two Spitfires which should come to £1.89 x 4 = £7.56 - £2.56 (4 for £5) - £3.67 (3 for £2) = £1.33. "Back of the Net" !! Fingers crossed. Get in there before the big T's buyers read this thread !?

Well, it's definitely not the chocolate ! But still worked for me this afternoon. 2 Spitfires, 2 Fursty Ferrets, 1kg sugar, Robinsons squash 2litre, two loose bananas. Multibuys - Schwartz 3 for £2 (-£3.67) & Beer 4 for £5 (-£2.56). I'm not convinced that they would setup Multibuys on a local basis (?).

I had a similar thing when I bought some stuff on Saturday - I bought babywipes and it also added a random deal that is off prepacked veg - 3 for £2.50.
It seemed to just be my Tesco as no one else could get it to work but I got a Fifty pound shop for just over £6 so I was very happy with my 'bargain'

Shame it does not work for others but make the most of yours

I too had a strange deal last week. Bought 2 Fray Bentos pies and 1 frozen pizza - it took off a 3 for 2 on canned meat - less £1.89. The only cans I had were Fray bentos. I was a trifle peeved as it put my DTD down! LOL
