Checking credit score??

Does it hurt to check my OWN credit score on a regular Basis?
Also do employment companies use this score when they check your credit ratings, or do they manually check it?
Could my credit report be ammended as I have a CCJ and it was put there in error due to several reasons and I didnt defend against it in the timeframe, so now I'm stuck with it. It is a satisfied CCJ and is not a true reflection on my circumstances. I have absoluetly NO debt.

Only your wallet, as it's a waste of money. Also do employment companies use this score when they check your credit ratings, or do they manually check it?
As far as I know, they can only see things like defaults, judgements etc. Not account history or score.Could my credit report be ammended as I have a CCJ and it was put there in error due to several reasons and I didnt defend against it in the timeframe, so now I'm stuck with it. You can put a notice of correction to explain.
The only way the CCJ itself can be removed is by going back to court and contesting it.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
