Got sent email from paypal today with link to Rewards Online site, that pays money into your paypal account when shopping - seems a good idea as I find all those 'points' schemes a hassle - but as I have to input all my paypal info, can anyone confirm that they've used this site and it is genuine, as it's the first I've heard of it?
Cheers!

Hi
Sounds dodgy to me - probably a phishing e-mail. I think you should change your paypal password pretty quickly just in case. Did the paypal e-mail actual have your paypal id and YOUR name within the e-mail text? If not definitely a scam0 -
I think this is genuine - there's a link on the Paypal homepage (which I linked through to from eBay, so the site is the real thing.
Rewards Online
For example DVDs can be bought from HMV (3%), Play (1%), etc. Not much different from the others...Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0 -
I saw the ad on Paypal homepage and I got the newsletter too. So, it looks like Rewards Online is not a spam site and most importantly, they are not even asking for the paypal password.
I just bought from CD Wow, I will let you know if I receive my money.

In read their T&Cs , didn't like section 4 Payment Schedule
part of it reads
Please note that in order to process a cash rewards payment into your PayPal account, PayPal charges an administrative fee of 3.4% + 20p that will be deducted from your cash reward.Don't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive0 -
yeah but it is still beter than nothing! and thats with all money coming into your paypal account. nothing to do with rewards online. i use them loads and there great although some of the payments are only like 5p for each order! ah well.... nice and easy.0

just seen the ad from paypal's own website and wasn't aware of the charges (3.4% + 20p commission is pretty cheeky for a cashback "reward" imho!)
I'll stick to Quidco - the rates are similar if not better anyway0 -
I contacted RewardsOnline about the transaction fee in case of a 20p money-back situation and here's the reply:We are working with PayPal and are finalizing the process of adjusting our service fee. As of January, you will only be charged 2% of the cash reward amount as a service fee.
Our T&Cs will be changed accordingly.
I hope this answers your question, please feel free to contact us again if you have further questions.

IMHO, the new transaction fee is more acceptable and better than any other cashback sites that I know. In my case, I still have to pay the 3.4% + 20p for my CD but still a win-win situation.0
