Euro Payment

Not sure where to post this, but I'm guessing someone here must have experience. I've done a little bit of work for a company in the South, and am due a 150 euro payment. It's likely to be a feature every couple of months for a while.
I don't want to be paid by cheque, because I know I've been charged £25 before to have a euro cheque converted to sterling. My current account is with Santander, I've a savings account with Halifax, and a rather old and unloved account with First Trust. Any thoughts or experiences of how to get round this? Thanks.
Btw, I'll probably cross post this somewhere under pure money.

If its going occurrence open a current euro account in the south. You will get a cash card to take euro out at any ATM anywhere in Europe. Anyway most shops will take Euro cash in payment here0

I would try First Trust. I also had a euro cheque and was able to lodge into my first trust account.0
