Please can you help me. I have an interview with a Council, its for a admin job its not a good job but its a job.

Does anyone know what sort of testing they will be doing.

Any help would be great.

    They may test punctuation. So you could be given some text and need to correct it for grammar and spelling too.

    They may ask you to write a short letter. Perhaps ask how you would file some items using an alphametical system. They may give you an In Tray exercise - to see how you might prioritise your work.

    What kind of council department? Some research on the service they provide would be a good thing and may help you formulate your answers.

    Questions regarding how you will maintain your level of accuracy are common in anything to do with admin/data entry.
    Anything customer facing - they will be looking at how you present yourself, confident, tidy and efficient is what they want.
    Even though its a only a low level job, if you want it act like its the BEST job in the world - councils are very keen to promote their own since once they know your record, they feel that you are a safer bet than someone external.
