I have been investigating which shop is the cheapest!!

Today must be a boring day for me!
I went shopping to Lidl and then wondered if discount supermarkets are cheaper than the big ones still. So I decided to input my shopping list in https://www.mysupermarket.com to compare prices.
I did a regular shop with nothing out of the ordinary. Fruit, veg, some meat, 1 bottle of wine etc.
The results were as follows:
Lidl £43
Asda £50
Tesco £55
Sainsburys £63
Ocado £68
Interesting little exercise (for me anyway:D)
Next time I will try to compare Aldi

That sound about right.
I do like Lidl and went today, but I couldn't do my whole shop there as their product range is limited.0 -
Went shopping last night, Asda and Aldi, bought a few bits and pieces, overspent as usual. Went to market today and wondered why I havent been for a while. Fruit and veg a lot cheaper than supermarkets, also a stall selling crisps biscuits etc a lot cheaper than supermarkets. A lot of the stuff still had quite a good sell buy date. Will be checking out market BEFORE I shop from now on, you just have to shop around these days.

snap bulchy , i went to the market today and spent around £8 on my fruit for the week and around £6 on my veg for the week, its normally double that t o be honest so i was rather please, i used to always shop on the market but havent really done so since starting work full time around 4 yr ago, but i think i have to rethink my ways at the mo, especially with another little one on the way. (oooh sounds like i have loads i dont this will be the third lol)now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

The answer to the question, which supermarket is the cheapest, always depends on exactly what it is that you want to buy.0

Always worth checking.
For me, I do stock cupboard shops at Ocado, smoked meats and cheeses at the local butcher/veggie/deli places or Lidl, chocolates and fresh tomatoes at Lidl, smoothies and loo rolls whereever they are on offer, grapes, ham and special offers when they're good at Markies and most of the rest at the butcher, bread shop, milkman and veggie shop.
Hmm. Perhaps I shop too much.
