Best Place to Buy Chicken

Hi Folks
Wonder if anyone has any advice where to buy chicken breasts most economically? Either fresh or frozen. Unfortunately we don't have a local butcher, which I am guessing would be best option, but we do have all major supermarkets pretty close by.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Aldi frozen breasts £4.99/kg + no added water. I've read that Aldi get their frozen food from the same factory that M&S and Waitrose use.0 -

Hope that helps a bit but it is out of date. :money:0 -

Thanks PP - I have a friend with a Makro card so we may go and investigate what they have in stock also! I know it isn't always cheaper buying there, but she does get some great bargains (must get a card if I can..... though she gets hers via work....)0 -

Asda Smartprice Frozen Chicken Breasts are usually cheap £3.49/kilo according to mysupermarket.co.uk
They're better than the Tesco Marketplace ones which seem like 50% water! The Asda ones have some water in, but that's needed if it's frozen. Last time I had them they were good.0 -
Asda ones are best value at the moment, £3.49 for 1KG. 18% water though, still better value for money than £5 for 1KG with no water.0
