How can I UP my income working full time?

Hi Guys,

Hope your all well and thanks for reading.

I am a single 24yr old, live alone and work full time and don't get home untill after 7.30pm Monday-Friday. I'm really struggling financially, I can afford to pay my bills but I can't afford to have a life at all, so I would like to earn some extra cash...If i could earn about an extra £200 a month, this would be perfect. I don't really want a bar job or anything as I can't always commit to shift work (also look after my disabled mum after work some days).

I would love to set my own part time business up, but just need some ideas. Is there anything I could do from home that will get me the extra money?

Any ideas and thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks :-)

    • cashback sites (Topcashback, Greasypalm)
    • freelance work from home: freelancer.com, odesk, elance.

What about an early morning cleaning job? a lot of these start at 5am so you could do a couple of hours before going to your regular job? It would be exhausting though.

It might be an idea instead to do a budget overhaul and see where you can make cutbacks, or find better deals for products and services you already use?

If you posted your outgoings on here, you would find a lot of people come up with some very clever suggestions as to where you can save cash and juggle things, there are some very smart people on here.
The opposite of what you know...is also true

The vast majority of people will have no idea what Matched Betting is until someone tells them or they research it. "Matched betting is gambling" by no means answers the OP's question - if you didn't want to take the time to answer it, you shouldn't have bothered or you could have pointed the OP in the direction of where to find the information.

The OP asked a simple question and has made it clear she is looking for help and advice.

You may want to refrain from offering any comments if you can't contribute anything worthwhile.

Inapickle9 - Hope you manage to find something. I'm actually in a pretty similar position myself but looking to save £2-300 a month to buy a car at the end of next year. Finding it pretty difficult to find something to earn this money though.

You say you live on your own - do you have a spare room? I eventually gave in and have rented my spare room out which is getting me an extra £350 a month. It's definitely strange living with someone but I'm getting used to it!

Maybe rather than trying to find something that will make you £200 a month, why not try and find 10 different things to earn you £20 each (1. Mystery shopping, 2. Sell something, 3. Surveys/Cashback sites etc etc). Set yourself targets with each one and after a couple of months you'll see what brings in more money than others.

Read through THIS for lots of ideas initially.

And look HERE for information on matched betting. Would maybe leave this one til last and once you've built up a few months of savings - takes hours and hours of reading/researching and you do need a bit of cash to use as deposits at the start.

Would love to start some sort of business myself but it's very difficult to find something I enjoy and that is profitable - I imagine you're having the same trouble.

If you come across anything, let me know and I'll be sure to do the same!

    Good luck x

You could try selling Avon - I've just started and surprised at how much I love it and how easy it is! It seems like a lot of work but if you just sell to friends, work colleagues and family it's great! There's a massive thread on this forum if you want some advice as well!
  • anyone mentioned that is if you have them renting out parking spaces ?
