Halifax Mortgage Goodwill credit????

I have recieved a letter today from Halifax to say they have credited our mortgage account with X amount , this is due to a complicated description of a certain paragraph in the mortgage terms based around base rate.
Not sure what it is?
Do we accept this or can we take it further????
Anyone else get this???
Thanks
