Saying Thank you gets free stuff

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to share a recent success with you all.

Having purchased a new type of cosmetic item and being surprisingly pleased with it, I decided to write a letter of thanks to the manufacturer. Within 48 hours I received a nice letter back and £10 of vouchers for their products, all it cost me was a second class stamp.

It was also really nice for me to write a nice letter instead of a letter of complaint and I'm sure their representative had a better day also.

So come on everyone. If you've tried something new and really like it, let them know. Put a smile on someones face and get some free stuff for your trouble.

Happy writing

Slightly off topic, but I recommend everyone read 'The Timewaster Letters' by robin cooper. He writes ridiculous letters to companies and sees how they reply. Its on amazon.

Haven't laughed as much for ages!

    I've been trying this recently.

So far, £2 from Tetley, £2 from McVities and just a thank you from Tate & Lyle! Even if you don't get anything, it's nice to think you've cheered someone up though!
