Can I just say, you can get cashback on all purchases on eBay with cashback sites. I tend to use Quidco, so I know they do it (at 40% of the eBay fees the seller paid). My £1 and I are there now.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

I have been doing this for a few years and make around 12-19 k . I sell collectibles, antiques, etc . Buy some books study up and see the rewards come in best mark up was a nest of old charm oak tables bought for £42 from a local auction sold one week later for £375, recently paid for my child's £400 school trip all from profit on ebay. I also buy of ebay to sell on ebay it is all down to time, and educate yourself on the item you buy and sell0

At risk of being a right party-pooper here but remember that if you are buying to sell (ie purchasing stock) your profit should be included in your income for any tax purposes. I know it would be very hard to prove that you aren't just selling off your own old tat, sorry, well-loved second hand goods :rotfl: , but people have been caught out.
Particularly ladies selling a vast range of different sized clothes!0 -
The tax threshhold is £4k or something isn't it Piskie? Anyway whatever it is, I've got a way to go before my £1 creates any paperwork.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.

Personal tax threshold is now £7470 I think so, yes, my post only applies to those going over that
Good luck with your e-Baying and I hope you reach your target - I was an e-Bay nut not so long ago, my poor ex used to hide things away for fear of me selling them on :rotfl:0 -
Yes I would point out once you go over a certain amount per month you will be automatically diverted by ebay to register as a business seller which we had to do 4 odd years ago and yep the tax man cometh .0
