So a few days further down the line the Government is now backtracking and more stories/people are coming forward with details.
Interesting.

Advice to jobseekers
1.Apply for anything they ask you to apply for (whether or not it appears relevant).
2. Follow your jobseekers agreement to the letter. If they ask you to contact 2 potential employers by phone. Pick 2 out of the phonebook and phone them whether or not it seems worthwhile.
3. Make a diary note of any appointments/signings that you have and make sure you attend them. If you cant attend give them notice and make sure you take the name of the person you speak to and that they have made a note on the system. Get them to show you on the screen if you are there in person
4.Record everything you do either on the booklets they provide or your own version and include EVERYTHING that you do making sure it covers whats asked for in your Jobseekers agreement
Hopefully this will keep them at bay, that is assuming you dont miss a jobcentre interview due the letter getting lost in the post and get sanctioned for something that isnt your fault.
You could always ask them when you attend if you are likely to have any interviews coming up.
Once you have all this at hand then get on with your real jobsearch!0
