Cheapest recipes - amazing woman

Hi guys,
I'm trying to find this woman...
Some time ago, well a long time ago, I was listening to an incredible woman on Radio 2 or Radio 4. She had made the newspapers as she was writting a blog about how to feed her family of 4 for around £30 per week (thats about 30p per head per meal!!!).
She didn't buy any ready meals but grew some of her own veg and bought meat as it was about to expire. She also used to publish her meal plans.
Does this ring a bell with any of you clever MSEs? I'd love to find a book by her or - better still - her blog.
Any other good recommendations are also welcome.

I can remember a lady called Shirley Goode, quite a few years ago now, who did something like that. Don't know if she's still around though.
This year i WILL have savings!0 -

She is indeed still around - have a look at http://shirleygoode.blogspot.com/"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
As others have said it may well be Shirley Goode you are looking for.
Another name to suggest would be Marguerite Patten who produced many recipes during the rationing years and has over 170 books published.
I would also suggest looking at the work of Gill Holcombe, who has published books on frugal food. For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.
