JCS1 - that's brilliant news as I was one of the posters on the previous thread that mentioned the room letting rules. I'll remember that in future.
Batty Matt - don't go, please? Make use of Tigerfeet's suggestions on figures. The increases suggested will allow for not including internet on your SOA but mean you can still afford it. The OR apparently doesn't check that you are actually spending what you allow for.
The only other thing is to change household members to 1 as the figures you are showing are only for one person. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Kepar, but im not giving them £430 a month, the £350 is for the board, the other is for the bills, I see the bills that come and my dad pays alot more than I contribute. So they are not keeping this money, with regards to HMRC i dont know im not my paretns, im just trying to pay my own fair way, if I had my own place it would be even more.
I don't know if the tax thing is an issue or not, but if so would it work to put one or two of the bills in your name instead of paying it directly to parents?Only after the last tree has been cut down,
Only after the last river has been poisoned,
Only after the last fish has been caught,
Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten0 -
Mel, that just confuses the issue totally as the house is not Matt's so no reason for him to have bills in his name. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

If you look at post 11, you will see that the tax issue is not relevant.:pB&SC No. 298
