It could also be a sign of bad luck as well.

It is almost certain that within your '20 years of no points and no fines' you will have broken the law - possibly not deliberately, but I dare state with certainty you have crept over the speed limit occasionally, driven over your allocated time, drove a vehicle with a light out, been a little overweight on one axle etc.. and have been fortunate in not getting caught.

Another driver may commit the same offences at the wrong place at the wrong time and suffer the consequences.

I will blow my own trumpet and state that after over 25 years of driving trucks of all sizes, my record was exemplary in respect of accidents and convictions - but that is not suggesting that I did not park on double yellow lines occasionally ;).

I was very lucky in working for two excellent companies when driving was a pleasure - I am not disputing you don't enjoy your job but driving is a different beast nowadays as Ilona has illustrated brilliantly in his post earlier on this thread - in particular the first paragraph.

I still retain my license but I have no intentions of requiring it again as my career path changed.

I would not discourage anyone from pursuing driving a truck as a career - but I would not encourage anyone either!
