Halifax - Talk about slow.

Recently it came time to remortgage, and according to my financial advisor, he recommended Halifax.
This was started way back in the beginning of Nov 04. All paperwork ws filled in and sent back to the FA. Because of the way Halifax now processes applications, he had to sent it in electronically. This would be fine, IF the system was up and running. BUT it was not and they wouldn't take it any other way no fax, no post. Because of this farce it has taken nearly 3 months to complete and finalise my application.
Because of this, the new mortgage did not kick-in in time and so my original mortgage went back to its normal rate. This then cost me an additional £75 in interest payments.
So, what i need to know is, does anyone on the board have a nice letter template I could send to Halifax demanding some compensation for stress and inconvenience caused. I'm asking his because I'm not the best legal jargon sort of letter writing person. Any help in any shape or form would be appreciated.

I don't know what was wrong with the Halifax system - I've been sending them loads of applications on-line and had no probelms - It sounds like it may be the broker that had the problem.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
