Hey guys, another question!
I have a particuarly bad credit rating, which I am not proud of, and am working to improve it.
Therefore when we get a mortgage it will be in my hubbys name only. Our mortgage broker has said this is fine, but whoever we get a mortgage of will credit check me too.
What are the repercussions of this? He doesn't seem to really know (one of the biggest brokers in the city!).
All help much appriciated.

If you are not on the application - there is no reason to credit check you
If you do a joint application - an association will be made between the two of you, and your credit history could reflect badly on him as a consequence.
