O2 Pay Monthly Contract

Having gone BR on 28/03, I WANT to get rid of my expensive O2 pay monthly contract - I have about 18 months or so of the contract to run.

I know that O2 dont like BR's, and usually just cancel contracts (which is what I want). I got myself an O2 pay and go sim card, and have changed my number, but currently have both phones running (since the contract one is all paid up to date!)

I phoned O2 on 30/03 and told them, they said to email a copy of my BR Order through to a specific department email address, which I did that day. I have heard nothing.

Any advice / comments?

    Hmm not unusual for O2

it is the same of all unsecured debt pre bankruptcy, just show o2 a copy of your bankruptcy order and ask them to contact the or in future with any further letters,if you receive any more letters from o2 just send them to your or who will deal with it by writing to them and telling them you are bankrupt and to stop bothering you, just to add i found o2 to be really good about bankruptcy, changed me from contract and kept same number on payg was up and running in a few days, fair play to them they never bothered me again, hope that helps you and good luck in the future

I am not in debt to O2, so they are not listed as one of my creditors, the OR said he has no interest in them, as I dont owe them anything.

I just want shot of the contract, so I can live cheaper on a pay and go tarrif, rather than the v expensive monthly one I have had for donkeys years ...................

If you had not paid the last bill they could have gone into the BR, that is usually what we reccomend doing if you want to get rid of a contract. Unfortunatly I think you are now stuck with it unless O2 do decide for themselves that they don't want you.
