I have hidden files on my PC but I've just been into 'paint' and it shows everything under 'recent documents'. Why is this?
I thought hidden files were hidden until you unhide them.:o

You need to encrypt them if you really want to hide the naughty
pictures, that is your recent file list, ccleaner may wipe the list (but not sure).
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks albertross, will look up how to encrypt.
They're not really naughty just more personal than others and wouldn't want them to be seen by the person who comes to use my PC. I've been under a misaprehension that I'd smugly hidden them and then they all popped up in 'paint':DWomen and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Cheers again, it's a pain when somebody else uses your PC, love him as I do ( a relative ) I just don't want him seeing everything, my bugdet spreadsheet for instance:DWomen and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Do you use xp? iF YOU set up your own user account and another for him I think (but don't know) your recent doc lists would only show up in your account and his account would onyl show the files he uses.

If your budget spreadsheet is excel, you can put a password on it to stop casual access.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Another option is to use some sort of removable storage for your files like a flash drive. That way your personal files are always with you rather than on a shared PC.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
