Can anyone suggest a good handheld vacuum, please?

And of course, one that is good value for money
I'm looking for, ideally, one that sits on a stand/ wall mounted stand to recharge just to have a quick Hoover round after the devastation of my toddlers mealtimes :rotfl:
Any suggestions would be great. Thank you!

Dyson makes a nice one, but it is a bit spendy. In my opinion it is best to just go with the cheapest deal you can find and expect to replace it fairly often. The quality on most these is lousy and the reviews reflect that.
I usually just snag whatever has the least frills on amazon. Like the Black and Decker NV2400N currently for £16.02.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I got one from Argos but it is not rechargeable. Does it have to be rechargeable?0

Might this at ASDA do?

The rechargability may be a dealbreaker, but this has the twin merits of cost & power. (I had to reword that, twice. Have I got a filthy mind?)0 -
Have you tried a carpet sweeper? I find mine very effective, and it doesn't run out of charge! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I know it's expensive, but if you want a hand-held that actually works then you need a Dyson. The rest are crap, so why waste your money? I have a Dyson DC31 Animal, yes it was pricey, but it works and I would recommend it unreservedly.0

I wish my budget would stretch to a Dyson one, but as we already have a full size Dyson and this is only going to be used for quick whip round in between vacuums I can't justify the money. I think I'll go with Darwins suggestion of the cheapest one around. Thanks DigForVictory - I think the Asda one is the one to get...
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.0
