bank accounts

hi we have gone br last week what banks can you use for a account barclays refused us and we included lloyds, nat west and hsbc in our br so suppose cant use them any others please thanks

    The only BR friendly accounts are the Co-op Cashminder as mentioned above (allows debit card and online banking) and also the Barclays Basic account (debit card but no online banking until discharge). If you tell them you are BR when you ring to set up the account they should allow the account with no problems.
    When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN :D

    As Barclays have already refused you then the Coop Cashminder is the only BR account left to you. As long as they were not a creditor, and you are on the electoral roll you should not have a problem opening one.

    i couldnt open either of these accounts although i did try a couple of times during bankruptcy,i had to use a company called think banking it costs about forty pounds to open and then £12.50 a month,its called a managed account not ideal having to pay for it but its an option if you do get turned down,hope thats helpfull and good luck for the future
