pre paid cards are excellent as you can use them in places where they may not accept a debit card ie online or on trains etc, a holiday and even if going oversees and its IMO a good way to budget, because you can place funds on it and use it for specifics such as petrol, shopping, trips, gifts etc.

There is absoutely no option of credit its just like a mobile phone payg .

most do a one off charge but reimburse when the card is loaded with some funds.

very popular in todays age for all.

Some BR's have had no option but to go BR, and may in time need some form of rolling credit in the future, just because you have been BR doesnt mean you should never have credit again, its a case of being aware of rolling credit and the implications of overspending .

Many BR's have not deliberately overspent, some have had suitations so out of their control and have had to secure personal finance onto them in attempt to resolve those issues, but with the current climate and the banks being so fiesty have sadly been foreclosed on.
