Hi people I need help,
I bought an iqon pc from Littlewoods and it arrived last monday, I had it all set up and working on my broadband and it was fantastic! Until Sunday the monitor wouldn't switch on, everything else is working barr the monitor. So I called littlewoods who have passed me onto a number for iqon who are based in Dundalk and they told me to tell them to deliver a new one. Well I've been calling iqon since monday morning, sometimes being on the phone over 30 mins listening to mad ashburn sunday nights music (yes any local in lurgan will understand) so no answer.
I'm currently on hold now and really just want my b!**dy computer working, what else can I do? I'm paying for broadband that I cant use and am getting really peeved on wasting time on the phone, oh and I've emailed twice too
Help!!!!
Cath

a small computer retailer in your area would have given you better support (and possible) better deal.
i know its too late for you to do that but maybe the rest of us can learn. support our own small business community and get the service we deserveLoves Saving Money.
Though much prefer making it

You say that, but I've been asking around the local shops to see if they can match the 19" TFT monitor for £123.36 I've seen on Misco, and none of them have been able to.0 -

The Misco monitor, does it have free postage? I know a lot of the big mainland names charge £15+ to post anything significant over here, which brings your price closer to £140, which most computer shops should be able to match.
Also remember you local guy is going to be there for you if you have problems.....0 -
OMG just to update (from my sil's laptop) littlewoods are not taking any responsibility, they keep passing me to iQon technologies, who having spent more than 10 hours on the phone to this week have now decided its not there problem its another companies who supply them. They have given me another number to call, but I've had enough the whole lot is going back.
I think the lesson learnt is it to buy locally as one poster mentioned above, I think I'll wait for the january sales or visit mplex soon

cathy, b4 you throw in the towel, please let me make a suggestion.
look on the label on the back of the screen and find the manufacturer name, use the net to find their uk/eu customer service number and call them direct. most (if not all) offer a 3 year onsite warranty for the screens - which in essence means they'll swap your monitor for you on site. if you cant get any satisfaction from the retailer support line the manufacturer might ride to the rescue.Loves Saving Money.
