indeed. using the benefit system to full advantage actually requires quite a bit of ingenuity and effort.

actually a lot of people in council housing do have jobs. sometimes quite well paid ones. e.g. bob crow on 145k a year. wonder how he'll use his 1k diy allowance? oh the ridiculous reality of lifetime council tenancies.....

YOU don't have to decorate anyone's house. I'm sure Mr Crow is perfectly able to employ competent tradesmen. THis scheme is aimed at repairs, not redecoration.

And social housing tenants shall continue to do just that. This is about discharging the housing providers repairing obligation.

No, it's aimed at looking after your home and taking pride in your home.

It can be used for redecoration, if the landlord allows, that is.

But it does say:
