clinique eye cream

hi all was wondering if anyone has had any problems with clinique all about eyes cream got it as a present from son on mothers day and all was well until last night my eyes started itching and bumps starting appearing i washed it off immediatley and today returned it to the boots store in which it was purchased,,the member of staff was very snooty in her response and constantly tried to blame the swelling and redness on other products i might be using all the while also stating that it was only advice she was given..i felt very put down by her but returned the product anyway and have emailed clinique about this product as my eyes look like ive been stung with tiny needles so has anyone else had this reaction to this cream or am i just unlucky and left looking like ive been burnt

    Hi

I got that cream afew months ago and haven't had any problems like yours. That said, I'm not overly impressed with it so will be looking for a cheaper replacement when I've finished it. I certainly wouldn't be happy with their attitude if I needed to return it. Will be interesting to see what sort of response you get from your email

    Regards

I'd complain to Boots with this one also. Not because you had a reaction but because you were not taken seriously with the reaction you did have. I'd want them to speak to the Clinique assistant about what she said and about not taking it seriously. There were many more steps they could have taken here and it sounds like they did nothing. A reaction to a product can be a serious and scary thing.

If you are on Facebook, they have a page- Clinique UK and they tend to be quite quick replying on there.
  • I tried this and it made my eyes water like mad, it also made them sting. I never have problems with sensitivity to other products before, so it did surprise me. I'll stick to my cheapo products!

I had a pretty severe reaction to a Clinique eye cream - cannot remember which one as it was years ago. I returned it an the assistant was able to see my red, irritated, puffy eyes so wasn't a problem.

All About Eyes makes the skin around my eyes go dry after about 1/2 way through a full-sized pot. Has happened a couple of times now.
