Raising my credit limit.

Was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I turned 18 in july and started with a fresh credit limit. Got my first contract in september and was running up bills of over £60 each month. I paid them all off and on time. I got my other contract phone at the start of this month. I have bt phoneline in my name as well. I've tried getting credit on other things but my maximum borrowing limit is £25. My credit scoren is 749 which it says is good, but i cant seem to get anything else. Is there a way i can raise my credit limit or does it just go up with my age......?

If you know your credit score then I presume you have checked your credit records. Does your mobile contract and phoneline show up on there? If you have no credit history it can affect your ability to get credit.

I suspect however its a combination of your age and your short time in work that is knocking you back.
Also, do you live with parents? Not being a mortgage holder or tenant can be a no, no, too.

What sorts of things have you applied for.

Its not something you can build up overnight. It takes time. Have you got a decent relationship with your bank? i.e You run your account sensibly! If so how about applying for a credit card from them? That'll give your credit file a boost if accepted and you manage it well.
