Anyone know anything about jobs for traffic surveys?

I'm on the hunt for part-time jobs at the moment and was wondering if anyone knew anything about how to get work during the traffic surveys.
I quite often see people counting the traffic and have no idea who to get in touch with to see if they have vacancies.
Looks the perfect job in this weather when you see them in their foldaway chairs with a cup if tea in hand

That's brilliant, thank you.
Have applied so will wait and see if anything comes of it.0 -
Try your local council, although a lot of them are cutting back at the moment. It depends where you live, in our area (West Midlands), Jacobs do a lot. You have to be flexible in your working hours, as many surveys are from 7am-7pm, and the shifts could be 2x3hr (which is what our council used to do), or, I believe, Jacobs do 6 hr shifts.
Anyway, my first point of contact would be traffic management in your local council as someone there may point you in the right direction for your area.
Good luck!Always look on the bright side of life ....la la la la la la la la0
