Anyone know anything about jobs for traffic surveys?

I'm on the hunt for part-time jobs at the moment and was wondering if anyone knew anything about how to get work during the traffic surveys.

I quite often see people counting the traffic and have no idea who to get in touch with to see if they have vacancies.

Looks the perfect job in this weather when you see them in their foldaway chairs with a cup if tea in hand :D

I don't know much about them but i know these do them CTS

I signed up with them and have been offered 2 jobs but couldn't do them as they were in school hols think it was about £80 a day but long days.

Also just found these as well and there is a long thread on CTS if you search this forum.
  • That's brilliant, thank you.

Try your local council, although a lot of them are cutting back at the moment. It depends where you live, in our area (West Midlands), Jacobs do a lot. You have to be flexible in your working hours, as many surveys are from 7am-7pm, and the shifts could be 2x3hr (which is what our council used to do), or, I believe, Jacobs do 6 hr shifts.
Anyway, my first point of contact would be traffic management in your local council as someone there may point you in the right direction for your area.
    Good luck!
