I have a mobile phone with TomTom installed and need a bluetooth GPS unit to go with it (borrowing one at the mo!)
Anyone come across anything cheap? Would rather not buy from ebay.

Well i had mine from eBay about 18 months ago and it's great. Very good battery life and quick to find a signal.
I've used it with Route 66 on an Ngage and TomTom mobile on an N70.Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

if you dont want top use ebay, at least consider the ebay shops. these are normal shops with a ebay front.
a good example is addonsworld, they are actually Blah.com.
i know that because i bought a PDA mount from them and it had a Blah envelope and invoice..;)
the ebay shop was cheaper as well.
incidently i think addonsworld do do BT GPS, remember to look for at least SIRFIII shipset, as the latest standard.0 -
SirfStar III is no longer a pre-requisite for a good GPS. Some of the other chipsets, E.g. the newer Nemerix perform just as well.
For that matter my old Holux GR-230 had a SirfStar II chipset, and that is still one of the best bluetooth GPS units ever made.Marillion - A Better Way of Life.0 -

thats true,
i actually got one different from SIRFIII as well, but its the best known, and if your not really comfortable with being cutting edge, then its the standard to go for.
i only suggested is SIRFIII is the latest standard, and they may not want to be in the vangaurd for some of the newer options
i dont have SIRFIII either0 -
