    :)
I'd fly all my friends and family out that can't afford to come. And I'd wear this dress:

I really must stop lusting after it...

Wow it is a lovely dress! :)

Not sure what my ultimate budgtet buster would be.... Perhaps a beautiful horse and carriage!

Ha my fantasy budget buster is rather extreme.
I am having the wedding that I want... a low-key intimate registry office ceremony followed by an aftershow party at our house. The only real compromise is the number of guests we're inviting to the party (no-one from my work will be invited) - simply cause we haven't got a mansion. So my fantasy budget buster would be to build a new house, with a massive garden that would cater for 70-80 people instead of the 50 we'll be inviting. :rotfl:

Oooh oooh, fantasy wedding. This I can do.

I've always wanted to do one of those champagne tower fountain things, where you build a pyramid of champagne glasses and fill them by pouring from the top. How 80s is that?

I'd like waiters and waitresses to circulate with trays of cocktails and canapes. And a free bar serving the finest whiskies.

I'd like to pay to have H2Bs favourite bands play (he's a total music snob and always moaning that since we met he hasn't been to enough gigs), followed by an incredibly glamourous swing band with proper dancing (obviously I'd have to take lessons because I dance like a donkey with 3 legs).

Several dress changes into every single one of the dresses I tried on and loved and a few I didn't even bother trying on because they cost £4k and no way was I falling in love with a dress that expensive.

A personal hairdresser, makeup artist and wardrobe on hand to deal with any malfunctions (ie when I inevitably fall on my bum and end up with a big black mark or burst out of my dress, having fallen off the diet wagon, or drop my dinner down myself).

A private jet waiting to whisk us off somewhere impossibly beautiful.

The Rock to make a guest appearance. My H2B would actually poo his pants with joy!

Hmmm, I don't want much do I? :rotfl:
Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.
  • I'd have the wedding in a massive country house and pay for everyone to stay there, with free drinks and beautiful food and light up dance floor and the dance room would be covered with fairy lights and look amazing, i'd have everyone who can't afford to come from Oz flown over and i'd have someone plan it for me!

I'm getting teary now because i know it's nothing like what i'm having, and i'm jealous of my dream wedding :(

I think I would probably have more or less the same, but not so budget...

I'd have a marquee, in a gorgeous location near our village hall, where he proposed.

I'd have cocktails and canapes served by singing waiters.

I'd definitaly have a magician (this is currently a maybe, as Mum wants to pay but I have said I may need her to pay for other stuff.) in fact, i'd probably have 2!!! Why not!!!

I'd still have my BBQ, but I would also provide a starter, and I'd still have my ice cream trike as pudding.

I'd hire outdoor games (coconut shy, hook a duck etc) with someone to run them.

I'd have a live band for at least some of the evening.

    I'd have a free bar.

I'd put everyone up and hire a coach to ferry people from the venue to the hotel at various points in the evening. (To allow for the oldies!)

Ooooh, and I'd have bespoke shoes made to fit me PERFECTLY, for me and the bridesmaids and I'd get their dresses made so they are EXACTLY what they both want and they both feel like the princesses in waiting they are! Haha!

BUMP.... ouch... it was a long way back to reality. :)
