You have to provide credit card details when you sign up, you are signing up to an ongoing agreement. You'll get 30days free and in future months you will be charged. But if you don't want to be charged each month going forward you have to cancel your agreement with them before the 30days are up.

If you sign up the the free trial, then you will automatically be charged £14.99 per monthsonce the one month trial has expired.

So, YOU MUST cancel the free trial before it ends to avoid that.

You can order the statutory report from any CRA for £2, or experian and equifax do the free trials which are free to you providing you remember to cancel.
If you think you are likely to forget then it might be better to get the statutory reports. And if you've used the free trial in the past but want another report in the future then go for the statutory report.

checkmyreport isnt bad, but experian part of it is poor
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Not that provide any up to date or even faintly trustworthy data.

As said, beyond a free trial with Experian or Equifax, you are FAR better off paying the £2 a go for the statutory credit report direct from the CRAs.

Interesting...I'd used the free trial before, cancelled for a while, then just had another trial - and cancelled again. Didn't need to pay anything...

There seems to be occasional cases like your where people manage to have 2 free trials. But mostly people only get one (per credit agency).

There are only three credit reference agencies in the UK, Experian, Equifax and Callcredit.

Experian doesn't provide credit history data to the check my file reselling service even though it says you can get a three agency report from them.
