What colour accessories

would you wear with this dress...

I've just got this dress the other day to wear to the three weddings I've got coming up this year (first one 16th April) and I don't know what colour to wear with it!

I'd like to have a splash of colour to lift the dress as I know you shouldn't wear black to a wedding, but I just fell in love with it :rotfl: but don't know whether to go with grey to match the dress, or something like hot pink to clash!

I'd be looking to get shoes, some sort of arm cover up and a fascinator or something for my head, so if anyone's got any ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks!

Anna xx

After I had clicked the link but before I had read the whole post...my initial thought was cerise!....its a lovely strong colour that would compliment the dark really well I think....although ive a thing about coloured shoes so if it were me i'd still wear black.

You could always opt for a dark purple..tempted to say cadbury...but its a popular colour on the bridesmaid front so best check with the respective brides first!

how about lime or olive green.....
    or a dark raspberry red

If you didnt want to go bright then you could take the lightest band grey and go with that in a silver dove/grey way ...but that might be a bit dull for a summer wedding

    lovely dress though ....

Jusy been off to look round and thought these colours might go with it...not sure about the fascinator but the colour is nice so you could always think about 2 colours...or am I just confusing you more?

Haha thanks! Pink it is then! I've got a pair of hot pink peep-toe shoes which I can wear, now just need to find some kind of cover-up and maybe a bag to match!

    Thanks everyone :D

I do love the shoes though.....I could even be tempted to stray away from my usual black if I found them in a 5!!!

4nabella, that dress is now in the half price sale. I don't know if it was when you bought it, or if you can take it back quick?!?!

I was looking on the Debenhams site and spotted it, knew I'd seen it somewhere before!

I'd go for aqua blue, because contrary to popular belief, i'm never wear pink really.

Thanks emz! I actually got it off eBay for £50 so it was quite :money:

I had a personal shopper appointment at Debenhams the other week and tried it on and loved it, but wanted to see if I could find it cheaper! It started going down in price on the website but they didn't have it in my size (online anyway, I knew they had it in store as I tried it on but I couldn't remember if it was reduced in store as well as online), so saved a search on eBay and lo and behold, on Monday someone listed it in my size! :j:j It's at the post office, am going to go collect it in the morning!

I wore a black corset dress with a black bolero from debenhams for my brothers wedding and tried all sorts of colour accessories before settling on bright pink fasinator, shoes and clutch bag. Everybody said it looked lovely together.
