Keeping in touch when on Maternity leave

I'm on maternity leave, and my office decided to have a re-shuffle.

The previous two teams have been scrapped (of which I worked for one of them), and replaced with 4 teams and 4 team leaders. I was notified of this, asked which of the 4 new teams I'd prefer to work for, and I applied for one of the team leader jobs, which was acknowledged, and my boss told me I'd be interviewed shortly, with HR cc'd on the email.

Since then, they seem to have done all the interviews, and forgotten about me.

Also, my boss has left, which they haven't even notified me of yet, and everyone else was sent an email assigning them a "temporary" new manager (until the new teams/team leaders are announced).

Were they supposed to notify me my boss has left??

Can they just ignore my application for a team leader position because I'm on maternity leave and give the position to someone without even interviewing me?

I just feel a bit p*ssed off, as I'd make an excellent candidate for one of the leader positions, and as they screwed me over for a decent pay rise despite having me working on the top priority project for 3 years, then I feel this is my only chance at now getting a pay rise.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

what makes you think they ignored you because you were on maternity leave?
Could it be that they have ignored you because they think that 4 people more suited to the task applied?

Could it also be that they ignored you so they didnt have to give you a big pay rise?

    - because all others in the office who applied to one of the team leader positions have been interviewed weeks ago. I'm the only one who hasn't.

They've interviewed people with less experience and qualifications than me, that would be terrible at the job. One can't even turn up to work on time, and was 20 mins late on day of interview! We're not talking 100s of applicants here. I think it's 7 applicants for the 4 jobs.

Yup. Probably. I found out I was pregnant the day after being offered another (and much higher paid) job, so had to pull out (as it would have been unfair on new company), and thus had nothing to use as leverage for pay rise. (ideally I would have left...). A male colleague with same experience, same qualifications, same age etc... is paid £11k more than me for doing the same job. My boss could not justify this when asked, and even noted it in my appraisal, yet nothing changed.

Personally, I'd be getting in touch to find out when your interview was going to be.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

agree with above, don't wait just enquire when your interview is going to be.

I don't think they really needed to have told you about the manager leaving, would have been nice but no required.

If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

4 people on the ignore list....Bliss!
