Borrowing money using credit cards
I am taking a career break next year and doing a bit of travelling. To finance this I am considering taking Martin's tip and borrowing the required amount on credit cards with 0% on balance transfers and using the Egg Money card to transfer the money. I would like to hear from people who have done this and what pitfalls I should look out for, such as:
1) Minimum repayments - what are the likely minimum repayments if I borrow £5000 on credit cards?
2) Can I keep shifting the debt around indefinitely or until I'm in a position to pay it back?
3) Which are the best cards to use for 0% on balance transfers, if your income is low and you want to manage the card online?
