Well peeps I am actually embarrased posting this:
Went at lunchtime to close my Barclays account. It had 350 remaining to be paid off. So I took my card from A&L and took £300 out of the machine.
Went in and asked if they could sent me a statement for the balance. I was told that it wasn't possible because an account needs to be closed when all the cash is in IFYSWIM.
So I went out and just thought ill try my card in the wall and to my amazement it gave me another £50. Great I thought, lets get this baby finished.
Went in to pay it, she put it in the computer then looked puzzled. I was still £50 outstanding. Then it dawned on me, Id taken the money out using the wrong card and paid it back in again!!! Embarrasing
