i got to wait for 5 years for that
.... is this a long process for me to get back up to a decent score again?

Afraid so. A CCJ is about as bad as it gets really, and until it drops off you're score will remain low.0

thanks mate,
How many points do you get if you pay a credit bill in full at the of each month ?0 -
Thats not have the credit score 'points' system works. To be honest with you most people on here think the credit score that the credit reference agencies will provide to you is a waste of money. Nobody but the credit reference agency (and you if you pay them) ever see the 'score' that they have given you.
All lenders have their own criteria when judging whether to lend to someone and they look at what is on your actual credit report not some made up score. Most mainstream lenders will not consider anyone with a CCJ. Some of the subprime credit cards etc will accept applicants with a settled CCJ on file thats 5years old.
Even if anyone could answer the question as to how many points increase you get for paying a card in full each month for say, 6months, it wouldn't make any difference to who would lend to you whilst that CCJ is on your file.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
You're misunderstanding how a credit rating works.

You say you have no debts and will not be in any.
You have a credit card which means you can shop online, book hotels and so on.
Why are you bothered about your credit score?0 -
Hi,
I'm sorry I should have made myself more clear.
I need a good credit score because so many employers require it.
I'm looking to work in a call centre, admin or even security related job. I dont need to borrow any money.0 -
The only employers who tend to look at your credit file in anyway is banks, post office and a few other finance related jobs. And they could only do this with your permission.
Any employer (or any anyone) could search for CCJs against you in your name at your current address but very few do or would.
The types of jobs you are mentioning do not require a credit check.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
