tax return amendment 09/10 - effects?

in Cutting tax
so my OH is self employed and our estimated income was £9,000 for 09/10
come tax return net was shown as £14,000
after advice we were told we had missed out a deduction/cost which reduced our net to £7917
i have advised HMRC, amended the online tax return and now reported it to tax credits who have referred it and i must wait 6 weeks for a response.
any ideas what that might be?! (kinda hoping for a bit of money!)
thanks iin advance, pops

thankyou, sorry we are in the same boat!
i figure if they should give us some back they'll drag their heels, and if not we certainly cannot owe them anything, so i'm going to keep bugging them!
one call a week should be sufficient
good luck anne!0 -
