What would be the best choice of bass amp for a small flat please?
My style of music is Metal, Blues depending on my mood.
My budget is very small
And is the Vox amPlug any good?
Many many thanks
Will check thread in between Google searches

The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.

The Vox bass amPlug seems to be well spoken of and if you're in a small flat may well be the least antisocial option too.
The amPlugs come with built in FX so you're not forking out for pedals as well, which is a consideration if you're on a tight budget.
I plug my acoustic bass into an acoustic amp (which still rattles the glass in a nearby display cabinet) and I usually restrict myself to playing while the neighbours are out - easier said than done.0 -
Well, I ended up using a zoom unit & headphones for this, as I couldn't get hold of the vox or pod at the time I needed it. Luckily enough, I ended up moving house a couple of weeks later, so have a cheap Laney practice amp. They're all adequate, it's just what you are comfortable with - as you will want to use an amp at some point.
It's harder to play along with a track when you can't have it on headphones or on in the background because your bass is coming through the phones.
Try at a music shop and see how you feel.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

I recommend the Korg PX5D, it has bass presets and you can play along with drum tracks built in as well, you can also "sample" pieces of music to learn with, built in tuner etc, also has USB connection and software so if you fancyy using it as a home studio you're covered for that as well.
great article here http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?1973177-Korg-Pandora-PX5D-Multi-effects-for-Guitar-Bass I picked mine up second hand for £75
My son has a PX4D similar idea but no USB connection. No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0
