How do I convert jobs where I have been paid per hour into annual salary for job app?

I am filling in a job application that is asking for my annual salary...
My last job I was paid £8 per hour...do I calculate my annual salary based on what I actually received? or what I would have got if I had worked fulltime? If so anyone any ideas how?

not sure if i am correct but if you do (hourly rate) * (hours worked) = thats your weekly pay
then (weekly pay) * 52 (52 wks in a year) - your actual yearly salary.0 -

to get a thereabout yearly salary figure you multiply the hourly figure by 2 to give the answer in thousands
£8 an hour roughly equals £16000 a year
£5 an hour = £10000 a year
£10 an hour = £20000 a year
...etcMartin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 -

Oh. My. God. This is absolutely basic elementary maths. Even my 10 year old son could work it out.0 -
That isn't very fair, nor very helpful. For the OP, as others have suggested take your hourly wage, multiply by hours worked per week and multiply this by 52 .
For example £8 x 37.5 x 52 = £ 15,6000 -
Hammyman - were you feeling condescending today or what? You may be bragging that even your 10 year old could work it out in order to make the OP feel small, but apart from that your response wasn't even remotely helpful. Shame on you and what a delightful lesson to teach your child - do you encourage he/she sneer that the less able in the classroom?
OP, as an hourly part-timer myself, when asked for my salary I put my part time annual rate in (with P/T next to my job title). Follow Rodenal's maths, just change the 37.5 to your weekly hours.
Hammyman - go and sit on the naughty step for 2 hours.0 -

£8 x 35hrs or 38 hrs or 45hrs per week depending on what you define as 'full time' x 52 weeks = gross annual salary. (Obviously if you regard full-time as 45 hrs per week this will inflate your notional salary)
If you were part-time put the full-time salary down followed by pro rata.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

There's no need to be rude and condesending, if you have nothing helpful to add how about not bothering to respond.
The OP did not ask for "an app" nor did they ask for a formula for working out the figure. What they asked for was whether they used the actual amount they had earned or whether to gross it up to a full-time rate. Owain has answered the question in his second paragraph.0 -
OP asked for help with a job app"lication".
Are we allowed to be condesending again now?
