Help with funding for course whilst on income support

I'm coming to the end of my L2 AAT college course and am hoping to continue on with L3 in September but I have been told by the college that the funding has been cut and is now only available to those on Job seekers allowance not to people on income support.
Ideally I will find a job that will support me to continue as my son starts school in September but if I haven't found a job is there anywhere else I can get help to pay the fee's to continue with L3 as I really want to know either way I can continue on in September.
Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

I think I may be wrong here but I thought Income support had now been changed to JSA? I would contact other colleges who run the course as they dont all use the same funding providers and some have different criterias.
Have you spoken to the Job centre or something similar as they might have funding somewhere also. It is really annoying, people are trying to improve themselves to get back into work but then they take it from you in the other hand buy cutting the funds.
Good luck.0 -
You should be able to get some money from an individual learning account. Most colleges operate a fee waiver system for people on low incomes. Visit the student services in the college they would be best to advise you.0
