As with all things
It depends....
If it is suitable for a tooth coloured filling build up. NHS band 2
If it needs a crown. NHS band 3
No one on here can tell you what you need as we can't see you. Only the dentist you see can do that.
In England the bands are, band 2 £47. Band 3 £204. Different fees apply in Wales. Scotland and Ireland different again (whole different system, not bands)0 -

I know it depends on how bad it is etc. but just wanted to get an idea of what I might be looking at. I'll steel myself for the higher of the two. Tooth is chipped at the bottom corner of the left central incisor (If I read the diagram properly). Feels huge in mouth but doesnt look terrible. Will need treated.0 -
We don't have those bands here in northern Ireland, we are still fee per item and only a dentist who can actually see you will be able to tell you what work needs done and how much it will cost.
However, it is unlikely to cost anywhere near £200 unless there is nerve damage and extensive tooth loss requiring rct and a crown.0 -

The loss doesnt look too extensive and there is no pain at all so I am assuming no nerve damage whatsoever. It's cosmetic more than anything. Plus it just feels weird.0 -
My son chipped the bottom of his incisor next to his front teeth. He had it repaired today (private patient) , dentist dosent do NHS and it cost £84. Not too bad, looks well but he wants the corner rounded a bit more to match the other one. Dentist said to wait a bit as it will soften in appearance.
His was a rugby injury.
TBH I thought it might have cost more. Took about an hour to do.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Hi, I chipped my tooth last summer, was the tooth to the right of my 2 front teeth, looked massive to me and i was expecting the worse, i got to my NHS dentist and it was only £11.60 to repair, no problems with it since.
Good luck

Cost less than £20 which is pretty damn good I must say. Cant tell its not the real tooth without a close inspection.0
