B-Day tomorrow !!

Hi,
I have not posted in a long, long time. Finally plucked up the courage to book the court date for tomorrow. Have completed and copied me forms and have the fee's in a crisp white envelope!
Will be there bright and early at 9:30am. I'm really scared. Like most I'm hoping it goes as well as everyone says but I've got the lurking feeling that someothing will go wrong (not sure why, only natural I suppose).
I have a bailiff coming arounf the next day, I told him I'd have the money (for an old council tax debt) for the day after as I thought if I told him about bankruptcy he'd make sure he'd have come around sooner. Will the OR ring him to tell him? What happens if he comes around and clamps my car again as I'll be officially bankrupt (hopefully)?
What happens if I've not put a few of the debts down on my forms? I've been in such a mess for years that I may have lost the information for one or two as I've moved a lot? Will they still be included?
My stress levels are through the roof now. I've been so responsible over the last year in paying everything on time and in full, it's just all of the fall out from the last few years catching up with me.

OK, deep breathes, you'll be absolutely fine tomorrow.
ALL your pre BR debts will be included in your bankruptcy, even if you've forgotten them. You could mention to the OR when you have your interview that because of the mess you got into you are worried you've missed some debts off. If you get your Statutory Credit Reports from all three of the agencies then that should highlight any you have missed.
Can you park your car away from home for a few days until after the Bailiff has been? Just in case they decide to clamp it before knocking on your door. Have a copy of your BR Order ready to give them, through a window or the letterbox if necessary, and that should do the job. When I joined, I needed a name. Any unsecured debts will be covered by your BR, even if you have forgotten to list them

first dont panic and continue reading after the start of this next sentence.
Sometimes there can be problems with bailiffs for council tax debts if the council has a liability order, technically the bailiff can continue to try and take goods even after a bankruptcy unless the council calls them off, which is why it is very important that as soon as you get the bankruptcy order/number that you ring the council, tell them about the bankruptcy and ask them to call off any recovery actionHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Thanks so much everyone. I'm hoping the OR will agree with my I&E, I have £21.50 of dispoable income and have been accurate with all of the figures and not even included internet, mobile, sky or any luxuries. I can go without. I'll make sure I post when I come back because everyone else's posts have been so valuable to me, I only hope it goes as well for me as it has for everyone else.
Ineedaname, good suggestion, I may just park it elsewhere until I take debtinfo's advice and copy the council in on my bankruptcy order.
Thanks again everyone, your messages really do mean so much.0 -
Two pronged attack, or is that defence?

So it's all done. I am so releived.
Got there early and had to wait around for half an hour. Really nice clerk saw me and checked through all of my paperwork (had to fill in some of the bits I'd missed out). She went off to see the judge and came back with it stamped! All within mins.
I had a quick chat with my local OR on the phone, who was very informative. I confirmed my details and made an appointment for a telephone interview on the 18th April. I asked her what to do about the bailiffs impending doom, she told me not to give them any money and to hand them a copy of the bankruptcy order. She also told me it would be beneficial to send a copy to the council so that they can call them off. I've done that this afternoon so hopefully I won't get a visit. I don't trust them so will hide my car arounbd the corner until either they or the council confirm they are aware.
I really was worried about nothing. Anyone reading this and who is about to go through the same thing should not get themselves in as much of a panic as I did. It's only money and we all have our reasons for being in a mess. We're not criminals!
Thank you so much for everyone's kind words and support. I'll update you all after the OR interview.0 -
Well done, glad it went well for you:):pB&SC No. 298
